About Me

My photo
I am a retired teacher and school library media specialist. I work full-time for Surpass Software, work with my husband, Austin, selling real estate in Bartow and Gordon Counties, and volunteer at my church. I have two beautiful and remarkable grand-daughters who own my heart! (and gbaby #3 is due in March) I am also a relatively new quilter. I began taking classes about six years ago and have been in love with quilting ever since.

Moving right along...

Okey, dokey...got motivated last week and finished two quilt tops. I completed one baby quilt top and also my husband's quilt that I am bound and determined to have finished by his birthday in early February. But whoa...I think that is just around the corner. Oh well it is raining and storming today, so perhaps after I tackle grocery shopping I will be able to lock myself in the sewing room and just maybe...
I will post some pics later today.

How can I be behind already?

W ow...it's only the second week of the year and I have a list of projects as long as my arm. I guess the first quilt I need to get ready is one for Ashlee's baby...a boy I think...due around the middle of May. Then I believe Brandi's baby is due to arrive...don't know the gender yet. I suppose I will need to make one for big brother since I wasn't quilting when he came along. And then Karen's baby is due in August so that will be quilt #3 (or is that #4?) My daughter received an engagement ring on New Year's Day so that means I need to begin working on a wedding quilt. And of course, I need to plan quilts for my beginners quilting classes for the next few months. Did I mention I am behind with my projects?? I'll post pics and directions for all the projects I start this year. (Ha! Notice I didn't say projects I FINISH.)
